Indian cattle farmer Kunwar dreams of directing Bollywood movies, despite belonging to the marginalised Dalit community, the so-called ‘untouchables’.
In Taraash, filmed in the rural village of Raipur Sadat, in the District Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, Kunwar’s dream comes true.
Young director Ishan Siddiqui, together with his friends Hugh Clegg, Charlotte Field and Carlotta Grimaldi, give Kunwar the opportunity to direct a film, and see his name on the big screen.
