A secret Santa splashed out thousands of dollars to pay off strangers purchases at a toy store ahead of Christmas.
The mystery woman paid off close to $17,000 worth of lay-bys at Mr Toys Toyworld at north of Brisbane on Thursday.
Her act is the latest in a long line of random acts of kindness at toy stores across Queensland, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
A Toyworld spokesperson said staff were ‘blown away’ by the act.
A local mother shared her gratitude to the Kris Kringle in a post on Facebook.
‘To the incredibly kind and generous soul that just paid off ours and everyone else’s lay by at Mr Toys Toyworld Rothwell, thank you, thank you so-so much,’ she wrote.
In the nation’s capital another kindhearted Australian paid off a ‘sizeable’ chunk towards 178 Christmas lay-bys at Super Toyworld in Fyshwick at the weekend.
‘The lovely lady wanted to help out as many families as she could this Christmas!’ the store wrote.
In south-east Queensland another two stores were hit by generous donors keen to spread the cheer.
An anonymous woman paid off $16,000 worth of lay-bys at Mr Toys Toyworld at Burleigh Waters on Thursday.
The woman in her late 20s or early 30s walked in and made the donation before later returning with gift cards and chocolates for the staff.
She then took another shopper on a spree worth thousands of dollars inside the store.
Single mother-of-two Alannah Loadsman had placed a $60 deposit on a $300 doll house at the Burleigh Waters store for her seven-year-old daughter.
But when she called the store to discuss her order on Tuesday, she was told it had been paid in full.
‘I was shocked, I couldn’t believe it,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
